THE Impact Rankings

What is THE Impact Rankings?

The THE Impact Rankings is a global ranking system organized by Times Higher Education to assess how universities contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. Unlike traditional rankings that focus primarily on academic performance, this ranking emphasizes the real-world impact of universities in addressing global challenges related to social, economic, and environmental sustainability. The evaluation is based on a comprehensive set of indicators aligned with the SDGs, reflecting institutional performance through measurable and well-documented evidence, including policies, programs, and activities. In 2025, the ranking includes approximately 2,526 universities from 130 countries or territories, demonstrating a growing global commitment from higher education institutions toward sustainable development.
